Its time for us to spill the beans, if you excuse the pun. We’ve been keeping this exceptional coffee under wraps for sometime now, we secretly submitted our latest Single Origin coffee to the great taste awards 2015 to ensure the judges agreed with us, that MAMA CATA is one of the finest coffee’s we have ever tasted!
Not only has this exceptional coffee won a 2015 great taste award, it has also been endorsed by the speciality coffee assocation.
Evoking sweet spicey notes and an baked apple sweet bitterness, this medium to dark roasted coffee is hand selected and roasted to shear perfection in our state of the art unique convection roasting oven, right here in the UK. The exceptional quality of this coffee must be tasted to appreciate its complex notes oaky notes and fruity sweetness on the palate.
Graded a whopping 95 of a possible 100 by the independant coffee review. This is a true gourmet coffee, with substantial body. We roast this to just after its second crack (or what some would call a city roast) which lends itself perfectly for a wide range of coffee equipment, from traditional espresso right through to bean to cup or even french press (cafetiere).

Convection roasting or air roasting is exactly how it sounds, smooth streams of hot air gently pass over the coffee beans until perfectly roasted. This creates a smooth and equally as important, an even roast, without any scorching or over-roasting usually associated with traditional drum roasters.
