Luminaire have come up with a new way to make coffee from loose grounds. This is similar to a French Press or Cafetiere but the spent grounds are removed before pouring.
I like the look of it and the design is both clever and stylish, but at $165 it is pricey, I could get an entry-level espresso machine for that sort of money. One more drawback is that the user will still have to clean out the filter part which is messy, and wasteful, unlike coffee pods which have better portion control.
Thanks to gizmodo for the heads up.
